We specialize in custom window treatments, custom bedding and accessories, blinds and interior shutters, reupholstery, interior color palette consultations, interior design, and home accessorizing guidance.

We offer custom window treatments, and many other customized fabric accessories, such as bedding (custom quilted coverlets, bedskirts, and pillows, tablecloths, pillows, and cushions. To meet your needs, we carry only high-quality fabric lines--such as Kravet, Carole Fabrics, Robert Allen, Duralee and Stroeheim & Roman, as well as custom hardware (rods, finials, and ironwork), and trim, all of which can provide a simple emphasis to detail or make your treatments truly opulent. Because your treatments will be created in Distinctive Designs by Nicole's own local workroom, there are no limitations on designs or details, as outstanding quality work will be completed by our skilled and experienced craftspeople. All work will be installed in your home by highly-trained and bonded professionals.

We also offer hard treatments, such as blinds and interior shutters, represented by Hunter Douglas' entire product and sample line, as well as B & W Manufacturing's entire woven woods and Roman shades lines. We are certified by Hunter Douglas for installation services and are an authorized Heritance Shutter Dealer / Installer.

Nicole received her degree in Design and Textile Management from Cornell University, and has completed course work at FIT. She is a Director of Window Coverings Association of American’s (WCAA) National Board and recently ended her term as President of the Central New Jersey WCAA Chapter. She has also won multiple International Window Coverings Association design awards, with her designs featured over many years in Window Fashions Magazine and her opinions regularly included in their ”'Ask the Expert” column. Her work has also been included in Design NJ Magazine. Nicole is a WFCP Master, WCAA Certified Consultant and Certified Workroom, and DraperyPro member.

Distinctive Designs by Nicole receives the majority of its business via word of mouth from highly satisfied customers and designers referring new residential and commercial clients. Since 2000, we have supported the custom treatment and shading needs of several local furniture stores' clients, including Rider Furniture, Luxe Home, Randall's Furniture and Basset in multiple locations.

Distinctive Designs by Nicole serves the Central New Jersey and surrounding areas, as well as Eastern Pennsylvania. We’ll also travel any where in the world for larger scale and commercial jobs!
